Well all along we thought we'd send 5yr old Gwen to P.S. for Kdg. It was only going to be for Kdg then have her come back home for 1st grade and homeschool from there. My thinking was it's free, they pick her up and bring her home, it's only 2.5 hours a day, she'd have fun, it's free...

But I've been really wrestling with it now that the time to register her is here. Do I really want to deal with the school system again? Do I really want her in that environment? Do I want to deal with the no vaccinations issue? A thousand questions and dilemmas....

So anyway, registration day has come and gone. I guess we're keeping her home. I hope it's the right decision. I'm having homeschool jitters for the very first time. I guess it's because my older two went to ps kdg (and 1st, 2nd...) Keeping one out of school from the get-go is new to me.

Wow, now to come up with Curriculum for her....

I am sure you will do just fine. Just bring her into the things you are already doing. We haven't sent any of ours, and they are all doing fine. To be honest, I am really surprised that was your plan. I can't imagine sending one away from the rest. One being away, to me, is harder than all of them being here. It changes the dynamic so much. Have fun!

Starting from "scratch" is fun. Kindergarten curriculums are so fun and easy, even if you don't buy anything she will probably learn lots. I just always keep telling myself, "It's only kindergarten!" It's not like they are expected to learn chemistry or anything.

Yay! It's so funny b/c there is an elementary school close to my house and I keep seeing the dates for kindy round up. I keep feeling like I'm supposed to go and register Eathan. I think that's part of what's getting my nerves going. It is scary, but it will all be worth it! You have an advantage, you've already seen the fruits of homeschooling with your older ones.
