He's almost half way through book 1A, which is a 1/4 of a year or 1/2 of a year, depending on how you do it. He takes it everywhere and is just flying threw it. I can even correct him without him getting discouraged. That alone is a great thing. He's even bringing it in the car and asking us to turn on the back light when we are driving at night to continue. Dh was telling me he can't believe how much finding a program DS liked changed his whole perception of math. I just hope it sticks. He spent the night at my SIL the other night and "forgot" his other books and she said he didn't spend a lot of time on it. So I expected one exercise he did 9 exercisers. I'm so amazed to find out it really was just the stuff I was picking. The best thing about it is he's learning to mentally do math and is completely shocking us when we go through the stuff. I don't know if it just clicked and we all blame in on the program but he's sooo confident in his math now it's great.
