Every night the girls get a story before bed unless we were out and it is WAY too late and then I just tell them a story instead of read one. Well, tonight I came back from the thrift store and found some great book finds for $1-2 each. I Love You Forever, Amelia Badelia, Frog and Toad, If You Give A Pig A Pancake, Red Fish Black Fish, Green Eggs and Ham and 100 Things to Know About Sharks- she is really interested in the ocean life. Anyway, she picked up Green Eggs and Ham and wouldn't put it down until she read the entire thing herself! She only needed occasional bits of help, but got most of it herself. She has heard the story before, but not for a long time! We didn't want to put her to bed until she was done. She was so cute and focused!

I can't wait until Scotty does that! Bryce's favorite Dr. Seuss book was the Cat in the Hat and he did the same thing...read it when he first learned to read - from cover to cover. It took him about 30 minutes, but he was so proud of himself!

WTG Em!!!

When Belle was an infant that was one of her favorite books. And then we didn't read it for a while. But it was one of the first books she read. And Ry loves it as well. I should read it more often to Finn.
