My mom called me tonight to ask if Miguel had started school yet. At this point I knew she wanted to pick a fight, she knows he goes year round. She asked how long his day was expecting it to be 6-8 hours. I told her 20 - 30 min. She started started to tell me how that CAN'T Be long enough. I interrupted and told her the things he is doing in math and it takes less then 5 min, That the LATL is all inclusive LA and is 5 to 10 min. And the SS and science is only 5 min. because it's a chapter a night. She asked why he doesn't just do more if it's so fast and I asked her how far ahead does she want him? Expectantly scene he doesn't sit still.

She then starts to say how come my sister hasn't supplemented her son with that math / English program and I need to give her the titles so that she can help supplement him.

Which in her way is telling me I'm doing a great job. and she approves

My dad's still undecided but he accepts that Miguel is getting a good education because he scored well.
DH's parent's now feel bad that they didn't HS him and are very proud there DS found something that works for us.

Just keep doing what you are doing. It's obvious that they can't argue with positive results!!!

What Sherri said! Keep going with it and they will keep seeing the results. It is hard to admit that something you felt was so WRONG is now so RIGHT.
