It just ticks me off to no end when I have to deal with the issues from school!!!

I was doing math with Chyanne and of course she starts acting dumb again. After 5 timeouts (she was faking not being able to count to 2) I sat her down and told her she doesnt have to play dumb anymore, I know she is a smart girl and she needs to act like a smart girl. She started crying and told me OK and gave me a hug.

There must be some emotional damage there for my 6 yr old to break down and cry when I tell her she is smart and doesnt have to play dumb.

After that she did her work just fine. I just wish I knew what they did to her in that class room. It just breaks my heart seeing her with these emotional issues and not knowing how it happened!

Ugh. That is so sad! I'm so glad that she's at home with you and that she's there early on without having to endure years of [email protected] at her school!

What's so wonderful is that now the world is open to her because she has a teacher who loves her so much! Girl, I love hearing about how smart she is and how much you are learning about her. Your posts are so good.

I bet by this time next year you will see that she has come out of the learned ways of PS. I am always so happy for you guys.

I agree! You guys have so many wonderful things ahead of you. Hopefully you can help her wade through all that stuff and help her work through it. She's such a bright child. It breaks my heart to hear how she was treated in school. You are such a good mama though. I'm so happy for her that she has you.
