that he can read the words in a chapter book. LOL I have been telling him for a long time that, because he can read his readers, he can also read other words. His standard answer, "no I can't!"

So, today, I came in the living room to find this:

And he exclaimed..."LOOK MOM...I CAN READ LITTLE WORDS IN A BIG BOOK." LOL He was too excited. I am just so glad he finally made the leap and tried.

(oh...and wouldn't you know that the book that finally makes the spark for him was a Pokemon Junior chapter book? Of course! What else is there? )

Awww! How precious! Love the pics. Since I started giving Jared regular books (instead of phonics readers) his reading is just taking off. He has started digging books out of the shelves & pouring over them. Justin, of course, has to compete with his brother so he's been pulling out books trying to read them as well. He can make out several words, but not enough to read the books fully. It's fun to watch them grow, isn't it?
