DD's school had their field day today and she was hurt. She damaged the soft tissue around her left eye and cut the upper edge of her eyelid. They ended up using steri-strips to close it since stitches would be too risky and said it's going to bruise VERY badly. She hit it on the back of another girl's head. I'm not sure how badly she was hurt. The way they had the activities set up was far from safe. I can't wait to have her out of that school.

It sounds like you are going to home school soon. I'm sorry your daughter got hurt.

That sounds awful, poor little thing. Hope it gets better quickly.

Bless her heart! It is so hard to see them hurt...I bet she mends up quickly.

Thanks ladies. She's got a really bad black eye that will stick around for a few weeks I'm sure. Her whole eyelid is black/purple and it hasn't started to fade yet. She's being a real trooper about it though.
