We're tyring to pick curriculum for David. I don't want to buy something that I know NOTHING about, so I'm asking people when I come across a curriculum either myself or DH is looking at.

Anyone use Alpha Omega? Can you tell me a bit about it? DH wants to use their Switched on Schoolhouse if David is ready for it and I'm a bit skeptical.

I've never used SOS. The Duggar Family (18 Kids and Counting) uses it. I used the AO LifePacs as the homeschooled student and loved them. Ani blew threw them way to fast. She could finish a year of LifePacs in 2-3 months.

I also have never used SOS, but in contrast to Heather, I used the lifepacs when I was homeschooled, and in the early years they were okay, but in the later years I just hated them.

I don't have any first-hand experience with AO, but a friend of mine uses SOS with her ds (10) and they really like it.

I asked about AO awhile back and everyone said it was really boring and dry. After looking at it at Mardel I felt it was alittle on the boring side as well so decided against it. It make work well for you though. Its not very expensive. Let me know how you like it if you decide to use it.

I used 123 Read from Alpha Omega and we enjoyed it. I was looking at the Horizons' preschool that Alpha Omega offers and it looks neat to me, but I've never used their lifepacs.
