I think I told you Ben's physical therapy eval put him at between 3 and 3.5 for his gross motor skills, right? Well he had his occupational therapy eval last week. I got the report today, and his fine motor skills were assessed at 2 years 4 mos! I honestly didn't expect that. I thought they'd also be about 3.5. Oh well. At least he's getting help from someone who has a clue what to do. I've tried and tried to teach him to write, but he's just not getting it. I thought it was me or the curriculum or something. It's not. ... and what's cool is that they're also using Handwriting w/o Tears. He's been using it at home for a couple of weeks and seems to be doing well with it. I just wish the workbooks had TONS more practice. They're very weak IMO.

How do you get physical / occupational therapy evaluation? I'm glad that you found out that it wasn't you or the curriculum. Hopefully it helps and you see results fast.

It's just like a prescription for a drug. A doctor refers you.
