Do you teach music to your kids... either by private lessons or some sort of curriculum?

We use Music Ace... if any of them show any interest beyond the basics we'd get them lessons.. my oldest took guitar for years.. Ziah is showing signs of wanting to play the drums but her shyness is still winning and she won't take lessons..

Emma is starting group piano lessons in the fall, and we'll go from there. I'm not overly enthused about her learning a ton of musical instruments, but Shane wants her to be educated in at least two.

this year, my dd will be learning the piano, and my ds will be learning the guitar.
For music, my kids sing in the children's choir, and they are in the bell choir.

We started in the Spring when we did our geography studies learning about different musical instruments and pieces of music from different countries.

We learn about the musical instruments that orginate from different countries, brief history about the music native to each country, listening to selections of music from that country and sometimes we make music crafts related to what we are studying.

We will be doing more studies on music during our new homeschool year.

More like music appreciation. We let them listen to various kinds and we talk about why they like it,etc.

When we have the financial resources I would like them to take some sort of music thing like piano or some other instrument of their choosing.

~My thanks to *Kiliki* for the siggy and Lucy S for the blinkies~
