I know at least one mom here uses k-12.. I am looking into it. We can do it as a free option thru a school district about 90 min away.

So.. is it flexable as in.. if we want to take time off that is not the same at the PS's? I want to be able to have our floater days off as we do now..

Yeah that's fine. You just set up the schedule in their parent log in area (will get more detailed on that if/when you sign up and can't find it). Our local virtual academy had Spring Break last week, my son isn't taking it until next week when his brother is here for his Spring Break. I just couldn't call and discuss any issues with his teacher last week (not that i ever really call her). We had to take time off for me to have surgery and then 2 weeks later for my mom to have surgery.... It's never been any big deal.

Yep it's really flexible. We haven't taken spring break yet either, though both our virtual academy and the local public schools all have already had spring break.
That's one of the things I love the most, the flexibility on pretty much everything.
