Well, my homeschooling mom who has homeschooled her 10 kids for years has split up with my dad. She moved two states away with the youngest 5 kids. She is tired and upset and knows she hasn't been and can't give the attention needed to homeschool any longer. So she has sent them to public school. Their ages are 15,13,11,9 and 5 and none of them have ever been to school.

The two stories are about my sisters 13 and 11. My sis Brooke, 13 was in class when a bell rings and everyone jumps under their desks. She is sitting there looking around like everyone is nuts. They are all telling her to get under her desk. She stays and says "WHY?" they say "It's an earthquake drill." Brooke goes under and tells my mom it was so stupid. Then my sis Heather, 11 is in class and she gets up and walks out. The teacher says "Heather, where are you going?" she says "To use the bathroom." she says "You can't just get up and use the bathroom whenever you want!" Heather says "Why not?" she says "You need a pass." My sister is like "OKAY."
I just thought you ladies would find it interesting. My siblings are actually saying it is very easy in school and they are all very smart, but the funny things they have never had to deal with are very strange to them.

Wow...I never gave thought to all the little things in public school that would seem so odd to homeschoolers.

Yes funny and sad. How is your mom doing?
