At the 3D u/s today no heart defects were detected at all and he appears to be very healthy and growing very well (big boy). Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, thank you Heavenly Father!!!! And thank you mamas for all the prayers and thoughts!!!!

Only thing that wasn't so great was my cervical measurement. It was around 4.0-4.2 (really long) yesterday and my doc is pretty sure this measurement was right because she did it with a t/v u/s and then an exam to check my uterine wall because it was thin. But today it is only between 2.0-2.3. So it has gone down about 2 cm in one day. That isn't so great. But the doc who I saw today said she wasn't concerned about it. I do have another appointment with my doc here on Monday though to check my cervix again.

That's a lot of change in one day! Did they say anything today about the thin uterine wall? And that is so wonderful that Finn's heart is just fine after all!!!

Horay! for Finn's heart!!! So did they just not see that on the last scan?
I agree thatís a big difference in cervical measurement. Maybe the first measurement was wrong? How does the length affect things?

I thought it was a big change too. And I do not think either can be too far off. The one today was done on an excellent machine. And the one yesterday was done 2 ways: manual exam and t/v u/s.

It may mean preterm labor. But I am not too worried because my cervix always effaces early and my babies both still went to term. But with Belle I did have 1 month of restricted activity followed by 3 months of bedrest. And with Ry I started effacing at 7 weeks and dilating by 13 weeks. I had an emergency cerclage at 13 weeks to suture my cervix back to only 1 cm dilated.

And she said nothing about the thin uterine wall...dh and I realized that after we left. We were just so about the heart thing that we didn't even think of it.

At my appointment Monday I hope I will have more of an idea of what is going on with my cervix.

That is awesome about little Finn's heart!! WOOHOO God is so GOOD!!!!

I'm not really sure about what to say about your cervix, b/c I know nothing about any of that. I hope it all turns out for the good though.

Thank God for Finn's heart being okay!! I have no idea what all the cervix stuff means, but I assume with your history of preterm labor, they are watching closely and monitoring correctly.

Prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and no more thinning, shortening or effacing until baby Finn is ready to be evicted!

Why is it that you never hear about great things like this in the news... I can see the headline..

You don't ever hear about the good things in life. Anyway, glad to hear things are good on the heart!

Oh how awesome about Finn's little heart!! I hope you find out more Monday about what's going on with your cervix & uterine wall. They're obviously keeping a close eye on everything given your history. I'll be praying that your little guy stays put until term.
