Okay, so our home computer crashed on Sunday. I tried to mess around with it on Monday, and neither the OS or the recovery disks would even boot up. The thing must be good and fried. Fortunately, hubby had an extra laptop he no longer used after work bought him a newer one. So Monday afternoon I was getting that laptop set up so that I could use my monitor. Well, my printer wouldn't load. ??? I don't know what I did, but after trying to load the software for the printer, the laptop stopped working. Uugh. So yesterday I just reformatted the darn thing and started from scratch. DH had a bunch of programs I never use and versions of software I wasn't used to, so reformatting was probably a good idea anyway. The laptop is running a little quicker now than it was before. He's the type to load every kind of junk just because he has room for it... I'm a minimalist when it comes to computer programs!

So, anyway, I'm back, but I won't be on today. There is a fairly good chance of rain tonight, so I'm not sure what we will do. I wish DH was here. The 4th has never been my favorite holiday as an adult- watching the children try as hard as they can to set themselves on fire or blow body parts off of themselves is NOT my idea of fun! But if it might rain I don't know if it is worth the 20-mile drive to go see the closest display. So, anyway...

I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July!

Well, good for you for fixing it yourself...glad you have one working now.
It doesn't sound like you are looking forward to this day at all!
I don't get scared watching my kids with the fireworks because we don't let them do too much but watch. Jeff is the one who SCARES ME and sets a bad example for the kids. I have to try to be patient with him.
I hope you have a good day with no rain.
