Hi ladies,

I want your advice/opinions on FIAR. I found Vol. 1-4, story disks, and the Christian character supplement for $80.00 Is that a good deal and would you recommend buying all of them or just one at a time?

That is for all the books? for all 4 volumes? Wow yes that is an excellent deal! I spent about $280 for volume 1 from Australian supplier, that was the manual, books, plus the character supplement.

Just adding that even if you don't like FIAR or every single book, that that is still a bargin for all those great books.

Is that just for the volumes or for the volumes plus books? I believe Jo's package included the books. Each volume regularly sells for around $20. The story disks are included in the volumes, but the ones you are talking about may be the pre-colored and laminated ones. You can buy the volumes used on Amazon or eBay for as little as $12 or 15 (sometimes less) each so you can get them for less than $80 total. I personally wouldn't get the whole kit and caboodle at once. You may not like it. It's not near a complete curriculum, and, IMO, not even as complete as they claim. You have to supplement a lot to be reasonable to use as the major part of your curriculum.
