Have you posted about vaccines in your PR/DDCs? If so, what kind of response did it get? If not, is it because you are worried about things getting heated, or something else, or just haven't....

Bumping to get responses because I think it's a great topic

But I never really posted a topic about vaccines or anything in my PR. I didn't join until the beginning of November when the majority of the babies were being born. I think if I'd been here when my PR was a DDC their would have been more talk about vaccines. It seems like most of the ladies in my PR vaccinate their children on schedule or on a delayed schedule
My 3yr old son Landan died 23hrs after being diagnosed with Meningococcal Meningitis. It is a potentially vaccine preventable disease. The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.

I usually don't post on PR's (here or on other boards), so I've never brought it up on one. The attachment parenting board I used to be active on is pretty dead, but whenever vaccines were brought up, I'd put in my 2 cents and then leave it alone. I usually visit these type of "mommy" boards for fun and support, not debates. In general, I find that the debates on "mommy" boards start out ok, but eventually dissolve into personal attacks and whining, so I just stay away from them.
Huh, I sure took up a lot of space saying "no"
