How are your children/famlies doing?
Any exciting news to share?
My 3yr old son Landan died 23hrs after being diagnosed with Meningococcal Meningitis. It is a potentially vaccine preventable disease. The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.

How are your children/famlies doing? We're doing pretty well We're all getting over colds, so I'm happy (until the next round of colds goes around!)

Any exciting news to share? Ryan, my one-year-old is getting so close to walking! He'll stand and move one leg and that's it, but I think in a few weeks he'll be running after his big brother. We just did conferences for TJ, my four-year-old
, and he's doing pretty well in school. Still has issues keeping his hands to himself though, but academically he's really progressing well.

And since this is the vaccine board--at Ryan's next appointment (18 months) we'll be breaking up some of his shots and I'm hoping to convince TJ to get at least one vaccine so that he doesn't have to get 3 at his pre-kindergarten appointment.
TJ and I
