Does anyone know if you can look up non-vac doctors in your area, or would it only be word of mouth. I have a friend that lives in Texas and she found a doc that doesn't even keep vaccines in the office ... what I would give to find a doctor like that here.

Any suggestions?

I think you can go to askdrsears.com and find the doctor look up. It's not a very long list though and I found none in my area. I have also heard that you can go to LLL's website and visit their forums and ask around. Good luck and let us know if you find one!

There isn't a doctor in my area either and I can't find a way to search for one? I will have to hit the phonebook tomorrow to find one I guess! However, that website is awesome and I will be reading all the info on vaccines there! Thanks )

check out Holistic Moms network in your area

http://home.homewebs.com/holisticmoms/inde...ewsItem?id=2425

Also look at the AP doctor referra and Vaccine yahoo groups....you can join and post a request.

Same with Mamasource.com

I was going to come back and suggest a search of Yahoo or Cafemom for AP groups in your area. Usually AP groups have lots of info. I am searching for a new pediatrician though a local AP board myself.

I hate looking for a new doctor but hopefully you have better luck than me.

You can go to mothering.com and on their forums they have an area called Your Tribe. This is a section where you can find your local area, usually state, and ask if anyone knows of any non-vax friendly doctors. When I knew we were going to be moving, I did this and got several suggestions.

I bet the mothering message board is your best bet. I tried a lot of the other suggestions and it's not easy. There is also hpakids.org.

But Brooke, are you sure that's what you are looking for? I see you posted in our playroom about maybe getting Kaylee a flu shot again. Although maybe meeting with a doc like that will help ease your mind. Good luck!

Good luck, Brooke! I've looked at all of these and haven't had any luck...it's about time for me to start calling around too, I guess. Hope you find one soon.
