My SIL has a 8 week old and she called me and asked all I knew about vaccines. I gave her my info and the schedule and vaxes that I don't allow and she made the decision to delay some of hers too. I tried to just give her all the facts about it, without my own opinion (don't think I was too successful) and I talked with her last night and she didn't let the docs scare her into doing more than what she wanted! And she decided not to do some of them at all!

On another hand, I am really worried about a friend's little boy who is a week older than Mason. This is the only place I can talk about it and someone understand. The mom is young and she smoked through her pregnancy and still smokes and BF. The little boy just had his 4 month vaccines and I am a believer that vaccines are linked to SIDS and SIDS increases when you smoke during and after pregnancy and her husband also smokes. Now they dont' smoke around the kids, but it still makes me nervous. I called her today and she was freaking out. She is in nursing school and they had presentations on SIDS and autism last night and she found out the risk factors of SIDS. Top it off with adding all those vaccines into the mix, she is worried!

at least she knows now! even if she does not smoke around the kids, if it is on her clothes and she is holding the baby, that is bad.

That's good that your SIL called... (O/T would you be willing to send me your vax schedule? DH and I are debating what we're doing with vaxing, if it's going to be delayed or not at all...)

At least your friend knows and is worrying about stuff... Most people just don't care.

That is the first step...maybe she'll do more research now. HUGS...

AND YAY on the SIL
Momma to Emma, Elzie, Gretchen, Olive, and Rogan

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.
