I'm 37 and expecting my first in November. I'll be 38 when the baby's born, provided he/she decides to be on time, as my birthday is Oct 30 There do seem to be a lot of young ladies in the DDCs, I have to gulp every once in a while when I see their ages at 18 or 19...that's the same age as my oldest stepson!

My parents were in their 30s when they had my sister and I so while I'm a few years older than they were when they had me, I really enjoyed having parents who were a little older than my peers. They always just seemed more settled for some reason. That may just be their personalities too

And Ducky - about the gum - I prefer to stay away from nutrasweet/aspartame/splenda even in gum form...but there are a few brands of xylitol sweetened gum which is fine for pregnancy. The brand I like is called "Spry" and you can buy it at health food stores. Its a little pricier than gum at the grocery store, but I'll pay a little more for peace of mind.

The flavor is great, but doesn't last as long, which is probably the biggest drawback to the gum.
