My name is Jennifer and I am a mother of a 6 year old boy. I had wanted to have another child with my now ex-husband but it just didnt happen. Had a miscarriage before my son, and a blighted ovum after and we got divorced when my son was like 2.5. Anyways, I had always wanted another one, but just never met someone who did and the one who did things didnt work out.

Anyways, with my boyfriend now we had been talking about getting married and honestly, I didnt think i could get pregnant at 40 or the chance was so small (i read 5%) My last period was in March, and i was kind of laughing kind of freaking out because my period if it changes it is maybe 2 days late or its early. But I was a week late, and I took one pg test and it was a + before the 2 min were even up. My boyfriend was ecstatic which surprised me. He always said if something happened that he would stand by my side, etc but I didnt expect him to be excited. He has two older boys so I figured he didnt want anymore, but I guess he did.

Anyways, I will be 41 in July, so I am trying to be careful. I guess need a refresher. What not to eat, etc. I am trying not to lift stuff or bend over too much but how am i supposed to do laundry and housework without doing that. I am probably being paranoid lol. I am 6-weeks now.

I am 40 and just had a baby. Why can't you do laundry and other normal stuff?

Well, I am going to have to do it, but I am afraid of lifting anything heavy.
