Well, I didn't think that I'd ever be writing on one of these boards again, but here I am! Discovered that I was pregnant yesterday after taking 2 hpt and both came out positive fairly quickly! My periods are not regular so I took it on a lark and was very surprised to see the outcome. I have two sons, ages 19 (years) and 9 (years) so apparently I'm on a 10 year cycle! So, not only am I rusty, but I'm nervous as well. Calling to schedule an appointment with my doctor this morning to check everything out, but scared because I do have some cramping. I remember with my second son that I had cramping at the beginning as well...does anyone else have things like this going on? Could I get false positives from menopause (If I'm going through that?!) HELP!

Not sure if menopause could cause a false positive (I would think not, but then again I am not a Dr.) Just wanted to say Congrats!! and to mention that I too had lots of cramping early on with this pregnancy which was something new to me in regards to pregnancy.

Just wanted to say good luck to you. I have never heard of menopause causing a pregnancy test to be positive.

Cramping is quite normal I believe early in pregnancy. Things stretching, moving, etc.
