I am Denise and I just found out this evening that we are expecting again. I will be 40 on October 21st. My dh and I were married 20 years in Aug. We have 5 children. Danielle 18, Hannah 15, Joshua 11, Caleb 8, and Joseph 2. We are so excited to be having another one.

I am scared because I am older. I am so glad there is a board of mom's like me.

Hi Denise, my name is Denise too and I just turned 41 and got quite a shock 2 weeks ago when I found I was expecting. I have a 20 year old son, 14 year old daughter and a 10 year old son.
I too am worried a little about the risks of being a "older" pregnant woman.

Welcome! You sound just like my mom! I was 12 when she had the fifth child and then 17 when she had her sixth. I love big families! Congratulations!

Thank you ladies for the welcome! We have had a hard time getting pregnant. I have not used b/c since 1990. I have been temping since January and I rarely ovulated. I was setting in to thinking I was done having children. I am so excited this surprise happen.

Hi, I am Katy. I will be 40 in Feb when my 3rd child is born. I have a 15 yr old DD and a 15 month old DD. We are of course hoping for a boy this time around. I had an amnio done at 16 weeks and the results were good. We are not finding out the sex this time. I found out with #2 but not number 1 and as I know this will be our last one I want it to be a surprise. It's hard though knowing that they have the results right there in my folder and not asking to find out.
43 yrs old

Welcome to all the new posters and congrats!! I think I'm the youngest of the group, as I'll turn 35 about 2 months before this one is born. We have one DS who's 5 and another DS due April 12th, just two weeks before the birthday of DS #1!
