Hi everyone!

So a little information about me I am currently in a wonderful long term relationship with which I share three beautiful children (one boy and two girls one from a previous marriage). We have decided our family is as whole as itíll ever be and as such Iíve decided now would be the perfect time to do what Iíve been wanting to do for years and apply to be a surrogate! Thereís one thing that scares me though: with my first pregnancy with my son I developed an extremely mild form of pre-e immediately after giving birth to him. I say extremely mild bc the only symptoms I had were some high blood pressure and protein in my urine. My midwife was so unconcerned I was discharged from the hospital less than 24 hrs after giving birth without any issues. My second pregnancy with my girl came 8 months later with zero complications and was in no way considered high risk. Despite all of this, other surrogate moms are telling me thereís no way Iíll be approved to become a surrogate and I canít tell if Iím being told this out of some strange feelings of competition or based on fact. Any advice is much appreciated!

Are you still interested in being a surrogate? We had twins 3 years ago from a surrogate, and am considering doing again. We are in Illinois.
