So I am completely new to this... I posted the other day a few questions. Now I have a few more lol...

Today I gave the pump a trial run to see how things went. I do not like it! It felt sort of painful. Nothing unbearable but definitely nothing like nursing. I pumped for 15 minutes and only got an ounce and a half. Is this normal? I also noticed that at about the 10 minute mark barely anything was coming out, so that's why I kept going for another 5 minutes (I've heard this is how you can increase supply). I also noticed that I got a blister from it! It's about a centimeter long and right on the edge of my areola and now I am terrified to use the pump again Did I do something wrong? I did have it on the highest setting (it has 3)... I'm wondering if I should have just kept it on the 2nd suction setting??

It is totally normal to not pump a lot at first. Your boobs are not used to a pump and a baby naturally sucks out more milk. The more you pump, the more you'll find that you can pump at one time.

As far as the blister, I would assume it's just from not being used to the pump and possibly having it on too high.

BIG thank you to *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy!
