My daughter plans on getting married in next month and I am looking for food suggestions we can prepare our self while staying on a rather small budget.

If you are planning to cook yourself, look for food items that have similar ingredients so you aren't buying a whole bunch of different things you only need a few things from. Some good EASY things are chicken, pasta, bread - if you make a pasta with tomatoes in the recipe, you could turn around and make bruschetta - so you could use the tomatoes in your appetizer too. What style of food are you looking for? I have a lot of ideas actually, if you want specifics I wouldn't mind - I love planning out and researching things like that

Before df forbidded the idea of making our own food our menu was

Tossed Salad
Lasagna or Rigatoni
Fried Chicken
Pigs 'N Blankets
