I got an email from my midwife that I have to come up with 1500 dollars before I am 36 weeks. Our insurance said they pay 20% so we only have to pay 500 something. I don't know how we can do this! We might but we're buying a house and it's so complicated. I would take out a loan but we're not suppose to do that until we purchase a house. I hope there's something that can be done. I am scared to death to have a baby in the hospital! If i can't have a home birth should I have one unassisted? Last time I was in the hospital they wouldn't let me refuse pitocin. They wouldn't let me walk either. I don't want that. I almost went into cardiac arrest when I had a c-section. There's no way I want to go to the hospital.

Most midwives will set up a payment plan! Talk to them about it! They are usually willing to work with you!

I third asking about a payment plan. Discuss it with her and let her know your situation. Hopefully she is willing to work with you. Good luck and keep us updated.

the payment plan. That's what ours is doing with the balance being due at 36 weeks. Good luck!
