I thought I was supposed to see the mw last week, but when I called she said it was not the 9th but the 16th. I was pretty certain of the date, but willing to say maybe I wrote it down wrong or misunderstood. Well, she called just about 20 minutes before she was supposed to be here today saying she can't come out today how about Monday.

You might remember that when I first tried to get in touch with her she wasn't able to call me back for the longest time. This is already the third appointment we've had to reschedule, and it is always with last minute notice. I understand she's got a young family and other obligations, that kids get sick and trucks break down. But, dang! You all know how much we look forward to these visits, I'm not upset as much as disappointed.

Waiting another three days is really no big deal. But like DH said, that's IF she shows up on Monday. sigh

Ugh - that sucks. Mine missed two and was hours late to my home visit, but that was because she was at other births - and the two she missed, she sent her apprentice.

She sounds kind of flaky. I'm sorry.

I'd be a little upset. I'm understanding if there are certain circumstances, but you are having to rearrange your schedule as well.

I agree. I would be disappointed. My midwife rescheduled on me 3 times my last pregnancy but they were all due to births, well 2 were and one was due to complications with another pregnancy. All 3 were completely understandable.

I hope she shows up for you Monday.

I understand rescheduling due to births, but I'd still be a little upset due to rescheduling for other reasons. Especially with such short notice, I think that would irritate me the most. I do hope that you do end up having your appt on Monday.

I agree. I assume you stay home? Would she do this to someone who had taken off work to see her? My DH takes off for appointments and last minute cancellations would really bother us!
