Last week at my midwife's appointment, she made a comment that the baby was way over in my left side. I knew that already- she is practically on my left hip. It is VERY uncomfortable! She is so far over that the midwife couldn't really get an accurate measurement of my uterus size. I cannot lay on my left side, and just about all clothing must be off of my tummy. It hurts. The midwife told me that she is head down etc, and in a good position for birth, so try not to mess with her as far as positioning goes. But like I said, it hurts!!! And I'm also wondering, how being so far to the left could be good for birth LOL

Has anyone else had a baby that preferred one side of the belly to an EXTREME like this? I swear I'm carrying her in my side and not in my belly. I wish she would move over to the middle. I'm sure we'd both be more comfy with her there (isn't there more room in the middle?)

Thank You, Pattyandthemoos, for my beautiful siggy!

Kya favored the top of my uterus, but not to the side. until labor we NEVER got her heartbeat lower than my belly button, stubborn girl.

That sounds very uncomfortable!

That's how this baby is - in fact I only have new stretch marks on my left side. And it's feet are always on my right. But whatever position it is in much be must better for labor than what DD was in - at least it feels that way to me.

My first preferred my right and never would roll around. My second was transverse until around 32 weeks and then picked the right. My third was posterior and stayed that way. He would always push his feet straight out my belly button. Owie.

I can't imagine baby being so far over on one side. I hope that you can figure out some ways to remain comfortable these last few weeks!
