I have a friend that is about 35 weeks along (due the very end of this month), and is in the beginning stages of Pre-Eclampsia. Her OB seems (to me) to be very mainstream, is is already saying that if she hasn't delivered the baby by next week, they will induce(sooner if BP gets worse), and while I'm am in total agreement that induction is better than and emergency c-section, She is too early to be induced, and I'm concerned that they wont give her the time she needs (rush into it, before it's really necessary, "just to be on the safe side").

She has asked if I know of any natural/herbal treatments to slow down/treat the Pre-E, and if not, to start labor so she doesn't have to be induced.

I don't have much experience with Pre-E, so if you have ANY advice, PLEASE share!

I know that I've heard a number of people have had success with diet changes, particularly using these guidelines: The Diet

I've no personal experience with Pre-E, but my midwife IS in favour of that diet as something to try if early Pre-E is detected, so it might help...
