What snacks did you or will you have during the birth for yourself, your SO, midwives, friends/family who will be attending? I'm trying to figure out what to have on hand so I'm not running out to the grocery store during labour or ordering pizzas.

I can't eat during labor. I did however tell my midwives that if they saw anything in the house feel free to have it.

We all ate scrambled eggs and toast after my youngest, bishop was born

Hopefully an assortment of fruit, some veggies, and some whole grain snacks....also tea and water and make sure I have ice....these are the things I appreciated last time...Unfortunately for me...May isn't "ripe" season for many of the fruits I'd love to have...so we'll play that by ear....I'll probably have something to throw in the crock pot in case it'll be an evening birth and so we'll have a healthy meal afterwards...like veggie soup or something....I'll have that ready in the freezer so that it can be plopped in in early labor...even if I'm still laboring I think that would be something good to eat....I dunno....

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

My midwife just said high energy food & drinks.. Like gatorade, emergen-c, coffee, tea, also we have lots of snack type stuff, crackers, energy bars, granola bars, also lots of fruits in the house. But of course they're welcome to anything we have.

We had a really lobg birth and provided breakfast, lunch the first day and then breakfast lunch and dinner the next day. We had bagels, fresh fruit, sandwiches, crackers and cheese and after the birth DH made philly cheese steaks. We also had soda, juice, water and coffee.

My MW brought her own food. She had energy bars and crackers and peanut butter. My mom, dad, MIL, SIL and aunt when to breakfest at a nearby restaurant that is walkable from out home (not all of them stayed for the whole birth by the way). My MIL also brought home-made speghetti sauce and noodles for later in the day. I made peanut butter balls with honey, raisins and cranberries for myself and kept them in the fridge, along with lots of yogurt.

I planned on having foods and stuff available, but I went into labor a lot sooner than anticipated, at 37 weeks. Dh did end up ordering a pizza for himself, and I had a PB and J sandwhich after the birth. My midwives were here from about 5-9pm, Paul was born around 6. Their assistant was here a lot longer and I offered her anything she could find, but she brought her own granola bars and stuff.
