So I have been periodically checking my cervix over the past week or so. I just can't resist the urge! Last night I noticed a big change. I went from 1 cm, very posteroir cervix to a much more thinned out and stretchy 2 plus cm. I was excited!! I had an orgasm, hubby enjoyed some oral and then I inserted my oil of evening primrose. I started contracting almost immediately!! I was getting them every 8 min for about 3 hours and then I finally fell asleep for good. I was almost convinced they were the real thing. Today I checked my cervix and it was back to being posterior and hard to reach.
Just wondering what's up? Is it normal for a cervix to move around like that???

Well I had an apt today and asked my mw to check me. She said I was a stretchy 3-4 but my cervix was posterior. She thinks the baby might be too. I have been having some show since my exam! Fun stuff. I don't think I am quite ready yet but it was comforting to know that when I do go into labour I will just jump into active labour with less dialation to do!

It's common to have contractions for awhile after having sex.

This time my cervix stayed posterior until after I was 5cm and in heavy labor. I don't know when it moved forward because I only checked once before pushing. But when I did check it was like an hour or an hour and a half before she was born.
