Ugh! I am so frustrated. IF my midwife chooses to go by the date the ultrasound has given, then I will have to find a new dr/mw because she is going to be on "vacation" during that time. The thing is, the date the Ultra sound says for conception is impossible. Dh and I didn't have sex for a week before that and 5 days after. So it is not possible. I am hoping she will listen to me and keep my due date as Aug 28-Sept 1 (yes that is how she wrote it in my chart...lol, I don't get an "actual" due date she says). It really sucks because if I have to find someone else my dream of a waterbith and/or home birth are gone. My insurance only covers CNM and there isn't another one in the area. I would get stuck birthing in a hospital. I am just so bummed, I hope she calls early tomorrow so I can figure out what is going to happen. I am just kicking myself for giving in to the early ultrasound (which I only did because i had had some bleeding for 24 hours and was concerned) knowing that they can be inaccurate (were with both my kids).

Just let her know your fears and let her know the conception stuff....How far is the change....Does she have a substitute that would be there? I guess what makes me think is that she already agreed to take you on as a client, right? And even with your original due date...there is a two week give or take....so why did she agree to take you in the first place if your EDD was SO close to her vacation date...you know..

Anyway...My midwife went with the ultra sound date that to me seemed way off....but it was later than my original one and that gives me a few more days to play with if I DO go overdue before I have to think about induction....so I went with it....but my situation is completely different from yours. We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

My midwife said that she doesn't use ultrasounds for determining a due date as they can be so off the mark. I would just explain your worries and let her know that the date on ultrasound couldn't be right based on time of DTD.

Ditto to the other ladies. Express your concerns with her... I know with each of my kids exactly when conception was. my midwives always went by what I said rather than u/s dating.
