Just had to share

Home births up, driven by natural birth trend - Health - Kids and parenting - msnbc.com

I wonder what the figures are now since this is from 2004-2008.

I think it's great tho, my decision definitely came from the ridiculous intervention rate and the fear of hospitals and honestly believing I would at least end up w/ pitocin being forced on me, if not my birth ending in a c/s... no thank you!

My desire was started by having three pitocen induced births and having the desire to prove that I didn't need the pitocen to actually go into labor.....having olive at a free standing birth center with midwives...and now the desire for the same type of birth but the birth center was closed....so homebirth or hospital were my only choices...and the hospital wasn't at all on my list of places to visit with a birth!!!!!

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Great article! TFS! My decision for a homebirth was I wanted a natural birth and the hospitals around here are not natural birth friendly (even though they claim to be) nor are most of the dr.

Thanks for the link.
My decision came from my fear of hospitals and distrust of Obs.
