Have you thought about what you plan to do if you go overdue? Does your midwife help things along? Would you ask her to?

finn was born at 41 weeks, i had my membranes swept for the 3rd time the day i had him. Here the MWs will do a stretch and sweep every 3 days starting at your 40 week appointment, you risk out of homebirth and MW care at 42 weeks here, so i definitely wanted to get things going, i would probably consider castor oil if i had gone much further with Finn

I've never gone overdue, but if I do I'll do a lot of natural things (chiro, essential oils, foods, sex, nipple stimulation, cohosh etc...). As a last resort I'd have membranes sweeped.

If I was super over-due I'd consider castor oil too.
