On the news last night there was a story about a couple in North Dakota that got surprise triplets after a home birth. The couple just thought it was a big baby since her previous ones were. She didn't have an ultra sound and I guess the midwife only heard one heartbeat. They are all healthy and happy. The parents said they want more kids and they will use this midwife again. Can you imagine if she would've delivered in a hospital. Can anyone say...scheduled C-section for sure?? What a great story and a pleasant surprise for them!

wow. There was a woman on mothering recently who did a planned triplet homebirth, four midwives present, one for each babe and one just for mom. IN between babies she took a ten hour "nap" she just needed to do that, but NO way would they have let her do that in a hospital.

Oh my gosh! That is crazy and beautiful! I can't imagine all the intervention and stuff she would have had at the hospital. Gosh, God is amazing to keep the two other babies secret!
