I can't sleep. I have been having contractions since last night around 8pm. They are very irregular, but definitely hurt and feel like a little more than BH. I am so stressed because today is my daughter's birthday party and we have 50+ people coming over. I just wanted to make it through today! Maybe the stress is bringing them on. I came down to time them since they have kept me awake all night. I am not ready for my home birth! There are a few more things I need to do.

Also, I have a mild yeast infection and that is stressing me out too. I don't want to deliver with a yeast infection. I am 37 weeks and both of my girls have been a week late, so I was not prepared for anything this early!

I am praying that I get on here tomorrow and say this was a false alarm. Please, pray for me!!!!!

Stress as well as a yeast infection both can bring on contractions (and true labor). Try to relax as much as you can. Take deep breaths and concentrate on relaxing your uterus. Take a bath, drink lots of water, drink some chamomile tea, stuff like that. If you are not already, treat the yeast infection. I've heard that garlic inserted vaginally works wonders (sew a string - to make it easy to pull it out - into a peeled garlic clove and insert and leave for a few hours - sounds weird but apparently works wonders). Take acidophilus as well.

Oh boy - sounds like a walk down memory lane for me! Except I was about 40 weeks singing these woes, nevertheless - no fun!

We want a report!!!

Well around 6am Saturday morning DH got up with DD and told me to try to go back to bed and relax. I had been having diarrhea, nausea, and back pains that turned into the contractions for several hours. I just knew that was it. But I went back to bed and my contractions eventually stopped. I slept for a couple hours and then felt much better. The party was great and I felt fine all day long. Thank God.

Thanks for sending T&P my way!

You can see pictures of my party here.
