Well my younger sister is having a baby in november and she's having her babyshower on October 10.

I don't know what to get her and she hasn't been able to buy anything since she stopped working due to being on bedrest because of pre-term labor.

She needs practicaly everything but I want my gift to be something special, something she will remember that I gave to her. I know its going to be special regardless but I want my gift to stand out KWIM?

So any unique gift ideas?

I like to give/get personalized gifts with baby's names, stats, and/or whatever (picture frames, blankets, onesies, shirts, etc...)

are my fave sites for that kind of thing.

Ebay has some good personalized stuff too. I got a huge, adorable diaper bag with my monogram on it and 3 matching burp clothes with my son's name, initials, and nn on them.

I think memorable gifts are the ones that you know will be lifesavers with a cranky newborn....like I couldn't have made it through the first few months without swaddling blankets and a bouncy seat.

Good luck!
Thank-you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

If you go to Things remembered they have blankets, and spoons, and all things engravable. That would be special. When my goddaughter was born I got her a bank with her name and her birthday on it.
Angel mommy to Kenna Cole now 2 years old and ruling the roost!!! I need a new siggie!!!

Honestly, the gifts that I make me remember who gave them are the things I use every day. My Aunt and Uncle gave us our highchair, and I think of them all the time. MIL gave us the carseat, and I tell Em that as I strap her in. My SIL gave us the crib mattress. I know, a crib mattress, big deal. But it's a big ticket item that I'm SO glad she gave us because I didn't have to go out and buy it! My sister paid for the rug in the baby's room. We're going to have that rug for YEARS and we'll always know that Aunt Jean got it for us.

Personalized blankets and piggy banks are nice. But theyr'e not used all that often.

My advice would be, if your sister isn't already registered, ask her what kind of stroller/high chair or whatever she wants and then get her that. Believe me, she'll be grateful.
