Long story short, I'm pretty much stuck doing everything for my own baby shower. It's all family drama related, yadda, yadda. We won't get into why.

My mom is planning it but has no time so she asked me to figure out the games and decorations. We're going shopping tomorrow and I'm pretty much at a loss as to how to decorate.

We will be serving bread and butterflies and scattering "eat me" and "drink me" tags on various items, but what else?

Colors could be dark greens, purples, blues, and oranges? Not really sure. Any ideas would be great please and thanks.

I'm sorry to hear about all the drama.

When is your shower? When I do baby showers, I make baby sock rose bouquets and put them in baby bottles around the room. These work for boys or girls, and since the shower is for the mama, the roses aren't too girly for a boy baby. You could do some simple streamers around the room and balloons with a centerpiece at each table.

My mom threw a baby shower for me and she used potted herbs for centerpieces, and those were also the party favors that guests were able to take home. It was really cute!

If you need more ideas, let me know!

Hmm... I don't really know about mad hatter games, but my favorite shower game is gift registry bingo! There are lots of sites that let you print out bingo cards for free!

My best friend threw mine last Sunday and did a great job. She set up a candy bar with all kinds of pink candy with little bags for people to take candy home with them. She also did a "wishing tree" where she took a little branch, put it in a vase then made little hanging papers that people could write messages to me and my fiance for the baby. =)

This website is really good for baby shower ideas as well:

Scarlett Isabella will be here January 21, 2012! =)

Always good to decide if you want any theme. That helps a lot to start with ideas
