i had a baby shower for each of my kids-- i think its totally up to u. there isnt any rule about one baby one shower only.

coed shower- a theme bbq--baby back ribs, baby veggies, baby size dessert-- just dont play the baby shower games
a diaper/wipe shower-
a welcome home baby- party--done either the weekend u come home from the hospital or with in the first month of the babys life.
since u are having a girl this time- maybe do like a teaparty- and ask for girl gifts.
frozen meal shower-- each guest brings a prepared forzen meal so u dont have to cook
a drop in shower-- have people just come and leave as they please- wording- sending out a quick hello. hope u can drop in for my baby shower- please come between 12-5. and stay as little or as long as u please- there will be drinks and food and we are registered at such place.

If you look around on this board you will see that MANY girls have posted asking the same thing. Most people will tell you theres nothing wrong with having another shower. Its to celebrate the birth of your child and every child should be celebrated. Every person is different though the only thing that really matters is what YOU think about it. Your mom and sister will get over it, it really is your choice and I completely understand you wanting another shower. Good luck hun!

You can want another shower, but you can't request another shower. (IMO) If someone offers to give you a shower you can certainly graciously accept but you can't ask someone to.
I have been HO,HO,HOED thanks, JMAC

Agreed. (Though I might be a little late in responding now looking at the dates. )

Likewise, I don't think it's appropriate for you to throw yourself a shower...to me that implies you're asking for gifts (which isn't polite even though there are things you need for this baby).

I personally think that you should have a welcome home party once baby is born. And if people ask if there's anything you need, let them know.
