Nyla has picked up a cold or something of that nature and with fragile lungs that means a very sick kid. She has been running a 102-103 fever since Friday night (stays down with Ibuprofin) and the terrible cough started yesterday. I cant get a peak flow on her because trying to blow in the meter makes he cough too hard. Last night her oxygen was between 86 and 90 so we used the nebulizer and it would only come up to 90-92. I didnt want to go to the hospital since it was so late and she hates going there. Her heart was like 170-180 and she was so shaky thanks to the albuterol so I didnt dare give her more so we almost went but her oxygen finally stayed 93-94 so we decided not to go. The coughing stopped with the albuterol, but now she is on it religiously and will be staying home from school tomorrow and going to the doctor provided we dont end up in the ER tonight. She had 3 bloody noses by 9 am, poor kid. I hate seeing her like this. Anyway, I guess its her turn for a nasty bug. I will keep you all updated.

Big thanks to KimberlyD0 for my amazing siggy

How scary.. My son had something similiar happen.. He almost died the first night in the hospital.. Very scary times.. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Have you looked into giving her Black Elderberry when she gets a sign of a cold? This stuff is wonderful.. It's all natural and boosts up their immune system. I'm not to sure how old your daughter is, but it's for kids 2 years and up.. My 3 year old takes this and loves it and she has yet to get sick.. I can't wait until my son is old enough to take it.. I'm praying it does wonders on him too.. He's always sick.

I agree...get the concentrate though. You can mix it in juice but we have gone through the stuff so quickly with Danny having the flu. I really hope she is doing better really quickly. She sounds really pitiful.

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my GREAT siggy.

Poor thing I hope she gets better soon without an ER visit. I am so sorry she got sick. Sounds like this high fever flu/cold thing is hitting all over the country.

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my great siggie
