So, on Friday night I went into the hospital late to spend some time with Lily. The nurse gave me the run down (everything was great, she's eating great, etc.), so I asked the nurse when the time comes, how much notice will we get that we'll get to take her home. She told me that usually there is a 48 hour window. She told me that with the way Lily is eating and stuff, once she is off her IV, they will want to keep her for 48 hours to make sure that she can eat the amount she's supposed to, maintain/gain weight, and not have any respiratory or other issues. If she can do that for 48 hours, we can take her home. She said she didn't see Lily being there for more than another week. HOORAY!! They'd been increasing Lily's food by 4ml every 12 hours.

I went in this morning, and got the run down from the day shift nurse. Lily has been doing so well feeding, that they are now increasing her food by 2ml every feeding (every 3 hours). The nurse told me that she doesn't expect Lily to be on her IV for more than another day or so, which means we could be looking at bringing Lily home midweek!!! HOORAY!!

I sat with Lily for about 4 hours earlier today, and 3 hours this evening. She's the cuddliest little thing ever. She just let me hold her and hold her. The nurse told me she fussed the entire time I was gone this afternoon, and she was fussing when I got there at 7pm, but as soon as I held her, she calmed right down and went right to sleep, and slept pretty much the entire 3 hours I was there. She's like holding a little ball of heaven!

Here are a couple pictures from tonight:
