Popping in from the Sept 2008 PR with a question. My son is 3.5 months (born 9-30-2008) & has been a great eater. He's been really fussy this weekend & has been fussing at the breast. He'll eat for a bit and then whimper/fuss, then go back to eating. He's also developed this weird rash on his cheeks & chin. Its not bumpy, just red (see pics below).
I'm thinking it could be 2 possible things.
1. He's teething & nursing hurts his mouth & the rash is from the excessive drooling.
2. He's allergic to something in my milk.
Have any of you seen this before? Any thoughts?
Thanks for any help!

I think he could be teething. I pump to feed my son and his pedi said if he was allergic to anything then he would break out in rash that would be like welts (i think thats how you spell it). Noah just broke his first tooth and had been teething for awhile. He got really fussy and wouldnt eat much and taking the bottle would be hard, he would drink some milk then push out the bottle and just fuss cuz he was hungry then drink again. He also got very rosey checks. Your son could also maybe have dry skin on his checks, my son has dry skin and his back kinda looks like that. But if your concern then maybe talking to his doc couldnt hurt.
