Does your baby sleep on their backs or their tummy?

Charlie started out as a back sleeper but now I HAVE to lay him down on his side otherwise he'll wake up the moment I lay him down. From there he rolls all over the place lol
Thank you tasha_mae for my beautiful siggy!

Proud mama to 10 month old, Charlie <3 !

When she was younger I'd lay her on her back as that's what's recommended. Now as soon as I put her in she rolls to her side and usually her left side. Then she often ends up on her tummy in the middle of night with her legs pulled under her belly.

He was a back sleeper until he could roll himself over. Now he prefers his tummy.

My son prefers to sleep on his side, sometimes he turns over and sleeps face down, at times he crouches over and sleep, he's all over the place too! LOL

L sleeps on his belly most of the time. He usually wakes up crying if I put him down on his back

It depends on age as well. For preventing SIDS the back is better. My first slept on his back until he went into his big crib. He was 9 months old then (a bit of a late bloomer - that's when he learned to sit up). From that point on he has always slept on his stomach. I would try to turn him over and he just flipped around to his stomach again. Still sleeps that way and he's 3. My 5 month old always sleeps on his back.

I always put mine on her back and she's content to stay that way.

My baby girl (Shaniah) 3 months sleeps on her back but she like to be elevated, i am nervous to let her sleep on her tummy. I believe it all depends on there age .

He seems to prefer his side. But he'll nap on his back or on his tummy if he's laying on me. So...any which way he seems comfortable I guess haha

My 7 month old son has slept on his side since he came home from the hospital. I always lay him on his back, then he finds his comfy position. Now he flips to his tummy a lot of nights almost instantly when I put him down. He doesn't stay on his back that often. Side or back with his arms over his face. Guess it's cozier that way.
