When she was 2-3 months, she ate normally...every 3hrs and would eat 2-4 oz average. Now at 4 mths, she has become so fussy at eati g time and would eat only 2oz. She sleeps through the nights for about 6hrs average. Wake up in the morning to feed, and she would only take 2oz. Is this normal? Another issue is, she falls asleep very easily at each feeding. I've tried everything to wake her up, but it doesn't work

I'm afraid that this decrease in eating will effect her weight gain, or even lose weight. Any advices?

It might just be a temporary change while she has a growth spurt or a lack there of, if it continues i might talk to your pediatrician about it.

Are you bottle feeding or breast feeding (i assume bottle since you know the exact ounce) but if you are feeding her breastmilk and have been eating differently that could be why as well

hope that helps!!

Kynslee went through a spell around 4 months where she wasn't eating as good either. Others would tell me (on JM and IRL) that they will eat when they are hungry!! If your girl doesn't act supper fussy or like she's still hungry then just keeping offering her the bottle/boob and she'll eat what she wants and at this stage doesn't matter how often they eat. Kynslee would tend to fall asleep on the boob and sometimes I just couldn't get her to eat more. So, I'd have to put away and let her rest and sometimes 45mins later she'd want to 'finish up'.

I think that's normal. My boy went through it as well during the months where he's about to eat semi-solid foods. As long as she is still drinking some, it's okay. Have you tried to introduce juices to her?
