I was talking to Julia about this a while back. I think it would be cool if we posted a video, even if its just us talking to our kids, so we can hear all the accents! I LOVE them and think its SO cool when someone has a "foreign" (to me) accent.

I think this is a great idea! In my PR one time we did a thing where you call an online voice mail and record a message and then we were able to listen to all of our messages. Let's do video messages

Yeah I never think I sound that country until I hear my voice played back to me.

And Julia - I keep forgetting to me you would have an accent! But it doesn't sound like my great grandmother's at all, but I guess you spent more time in Israel (? right place right?) didn't you?

7 years in Russia, 7.5 in Israel, so about the same But I always spoke Russian at home with my parents, so now people here tell me I do have a Russian accent (not Israeli one), but I don't hear it myself. I don't think my accent is as bad as my mom's though! Her's is like she's speaking Russian but with English words, it's really strong!

Oh and yeah I generally mouth what Ryan's saying as he talks he tends to say things wrong and that helps me pick up on it.

hmmm, maybe its just cause you're in a different area than me. I guess accents when added to English as not primary language change when you factor in location.

Actually the funny thing is people who grow up and live in the Memphis area don't usually have so strong an accent, which is really odd to me, I didn't sound like this until I moved out of Memphis, and now my friends I had growing up there think I sound like a hick and I think they sound ghetto.

This was last month when Kieran first started walking

This part of the US has no accent, we speak the most plain English. From what I've been told.

(sorry about the fishes on the floor she dumped them out and I didn't get the chance to pick them up)

***want to add not EVERYONE in Memphis sounds all gheto but the country accent isn't as pronounced in the rest***

I want to hear Yvonne's! John has an aunt from Scottland and when she lived here (they moved to Florida after his grandmother died) I saw her all the time and could just sit and listen to her talk about the most boring stuff for hours because she made it sound all pretty.

Justine, yours does sound "normal English" to me, that's kinda how Canadian-born people speak, like you do. I wanna hear Yvonne's too, where is she anyway?

You sound like a girl I went to school with, but I have no idea where she was originally from.
