Does your child have a bike? Do they ride it often? How long do they seem to last in your family?

My kids loooove their bikes. Five year old Carrie has a 12 inch one with training wheels. Beth and Matt (7 and 6) both have 16 inch ones without the training wheels. They've all had them about a year and a half, and they are getting too small. I'm tempted to go out and get them new ones, but with that being such a big purchase I may try to wait until Christmas. I'm also wondering if Beth and Matt need 18 inch tires, or if they can go straight on to the 20 inch ones. Carrie needs a 16 inch tire. I tried her on Beth's current bike and it is a good fit. I'd like to ger her her own new one though since B's is so worn out.

Yep, my son rides a bike. Took him a LONG time to learn, but he finally did and loves it. Summer he rode more (almost daily), school time he doesn't have as much time. He's had the same bike for 3 years or so now, only one (other than one with training wheels) he has ever had and it still has PLENTY of use in it. Seat is still all the way down...benefits of having a short kid I guess LoL.

I don't know what size it is, I don't remember, but it still has plenty of growing room in it, as I said the seat is still all the way down. But he's only 54 inches tall at almost 11 years old. Shoot he's still in a booster seat in the car!

The older three had bikes, but they were in the garden shed untouched for over a year, so we sold them.
Jaidyn loves her bike and is out most days on it.

My 5 year old has a bike with training wheels and we bought it for her last year so she needs a new one. She has grown 4 inches since last year....I just wanted to get one more year out of it, lol. We actually haven't taken her bike out in awhile....this summer was just too hot. We probably need to take it out for a spin before school starts. I think I'll wait until next summer to buy her a new bike since she may grow more by then.

My oldest two have bikes then the 3 yr old has a tricycle. They love to ride but that's a winter sport here, too hot in summer to be outside doing anything!
