One of my familys favorite is pulled beef sammies

Roast of your choice
1-2 packets on onion soup
1/2 cup of water

Cook on low 10-12 hours or high 6 hours, pull apart and put in Au Jus sauce. Put on rolls of your choice
And add the fixins' (onion, green peppers, mushroom, provolone cheese)

Right now we are big on ribs in the crockpot

1-2 rack baby back ribs
1 bottle favourite bbq sauce
salt
pepper
garlis powder

1) season ribs with salt, pepper and garlic powder then place in a baking dish and cook in oven at 400 for 15 min on each side
2) place ribs in crockpot and coat in bbq sauce.
4) cook on low for 6-8 hours rotating ribs in sauce a few times.

They will be fall off the bone!

I love using the crockpot.

Here are a few of my favs..

Slow cooker Jambalaya

1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes
1 pound andouille sausage, sliced
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
1 large onion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried parsley
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 pound frozen cooked shrimp without tails

In a slow cooker, mix the chicken, sausage, tomatoes with juice, onion, green bell pepper, celery, and broth. Season with oregano, parsley, Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper, and thyme.
Cover, and cook 7 to 8 hours on Low, or 3 to 4 hours on High. Stir in the shrimp during the last 30 minutes of cook time.
Serve over rice.

BBQ's beef

1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons prepared Dijon-style mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (4 pound) boneless chuck roast

In a large bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, Dijon-style mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Place chuck roast in a slow cooker. Pour ketchup mixture over chuck roast. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
Remove chuck roast from slow cooker, shred with a fork, and return to the slow cooker. Stir meat to evenly coat with sauce. Continue cooking approximately 1 hour.

***We also use this recipe with pork roast.

That's it! I'm getting a crockpot. I never had one but heard you can throw almost anyting in that pot. The summer is coming and I don't want my home to overly hot because I have the oven on. I've seen some for about $40. Is that a good price for a crockpot?

The price depends on the brand, size, etc. My large 6 qt was about $40

My favorite recipe is homemade shredded beef.

1 roast
bbq sauce
garlic powder
other spices to taste

Before putting roast in slow cooker, baste with bbq sauce. Then add seasoning. Put in slow cooker and cook for desired length of time/heat. When you are ready to serve, add more bbq sauce to taste (I don't like mine saturated with it) and then pull apart with 2 forks. Serve on buns.
