We make them a few different ways.

MSG (Accent)
Garlic salt
italian seasoning
ground black pepper

If I make Chris grill it I add a bit of mesquite liquid smoke. If it's on the stove I leave that part off.

In a shallow dish I put about a 1/2 of flour and add black pepper and salt to the flour. I pat each side of the pork chop in the flour mixture (not like dredging it, but just to get a little to stick). Then I saute (not fry) it.

I brown it in a pan and transfer it to a glass baking dish. I make a roux with the drippings for gravy and I add that to the glass baking dish. I add sliced onions and mushrooms along with water and bake it. I put the sauce it makes over rice.

Pork is very boring to me, so I cook it a hundred different ways trying to get it to taste like something new

I generally like a thinner chop, so I get to pan fry without getting it too dry. Just before they are totally done, I add marmalade and bacon chunks and let that coat the chops. They are sweet, salty, and full of awesome.
Thank you claire1979 for my cute new siggy!
