Hey Tammy! I have never stuffed a turkey before, so i don't know how good my recipe would be with it. But I thought this website would help you. Good Luck! HTH!

Turkey Stuffing Recipes

I use a recipe similar to the apple walnut stuffing, but can't give you the exact recipe, family secret. My grandmother would KILL me, lol.

Tammy,

Although I'm not the best cook, my mother is!! She has a recipe for homemade cornbread stuffing that is just DELICIOUS!! Unfortunately, I'm spending Thanksgiving with in-laws, so I won't get to taste it when it's fresh...if you're interested in the recipe, please e-mail me: [email protected]

Take care--Cosima

I don't stuff the dressing into the bird anymore. It is so hard to make sure the stuffing is the correct temp, and if you don't get all of it out of the bird then you run the risk of it making the whole thing bad if you are one that leaves the meat on the bones. I stuff my bird with aromatics, celery, onion, fennel, carrots, herbs etc. They are so easy to just pull right out and there is no worry of getting sick. Dressing is just as good cooked in a casserole alongside or just below the bird. Especially if you use broth made from the neckbone and gibblets. Anyway can't write more but if you want a recipe for a casserole type stuffing Food Network has some great recipes.

ETA: the reason I switched is because of one BAD thanksgiving, it was awful we didn't have enough bowls and toilets for people.
